Suspects in the murder of a Russian anti-Putin artist have been arrested in Poland
Polish law enforcement authorities have detained three individuals as part of the investigation into the murder of Russian artist Semyon Skrepetsky, known for his anti-Putin cartoons. On June 16, a court remanded two of the detainees into custody.
According to the investigation, two of the detainees were remanded in custody, while the third was released. Meanwhile, the person who directly carried out the murder has not yet been apprehended, and the search for him continues.
The 44-year-old Russian citizen was shot dead on the morning of June 15 in the town of Biała Podlaska. The assailant fired several shots at the man on the street and then finished him off with additional shots while he was already lying on the ground.

As a reminder, artist Skrepetsky, who published cartoons of Kadyrov and Putin, was killed in Poland.
Earlier, David Hockney, one of the most famous contemporary British artists, died at the age of 88. The artist left a significant mark on world art, and his work was sold at auction in 2018 for a record $90 million.
Meanwhile, a painting by the world-renowned Ukrainian artist Ivan Marchuk set a new personal auction record at the prestigious Sotheby’s auction house. The canvas, titled “The Generous Planet,” sold for 96,000 euros. The artist congratulated the new owner of the work and noted that until now, the painting had been in a private collection in the United States.
