Seoul to host cultural exchange for Chuseok

Seoul will hold a free cultural exchange program dedicated to the Korean holiday Chuseok on September 5. South Korean citizens and foreigners can take part. Participants will learn about holiday traditions and will be able to share customs of celebrating in their own countries.

Event program

The meeting will run from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Seoul Global Student Support Center in Seodaemun-gu. All activities will be conducted in Korean. As The Korea Herald reports, the program will include a live podcast with Didi, a YouTuber who creates content about Korean culture.

Participants will be able to try songpyeon, crescent-shaped rice cakes traditionally eaten during Chuseok. The program will also include yutnori, a traditional Korean board game, a full-moon wish board, and an exchange of stories about holiday traditions in different countries.
