Seoul to host autumn music festival at hanok complex
Seoul, South Korea, will host an autumn music festival on Saturday at the Changnyeong Wigung Jaesa complex in Dream Forest Park in the northern district of Gangbuk-gu. As The Korea Herald reports, the program will combine live performances and creative workshops.
Festival program
Events will run from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. near the traditional hanok complex, which is a nationally registered cultural heritage site. Five paid creative workshops will be available to visitors, including terrarium-making, sea-glass crafts and artistic lamp-making.
Up to 800 participants will be able to join the workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. Food trucks will also operate throughout the festival.

Concert in the complex courtyard
A free open-air concert will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the courtyard of the historic complex. The program includes a rock band, a children's belly dance group, an electric violinist, an acoustic guitar duo, ocarina and pan flute performances, as well as a classical vocal duo. No advance registration is required to attend the concert.
The Changnyeong Wigung Jaesa complex was built for Kim Byeong-ju, the son-in-law of King Sunjo, the 23rd monarch of the Joseon era. The site is also associated with his grandson, Kim Seok-jin, who took his own life after refusing a Japanese title following Japan's annexation of Korea in 1910.
