Santa Zukker’s solo exhibition opens in Tallinn
Santa Zukker’s solo exhibition “Mööda maastikke” (“Along Landscapes”) opened at Artius Gallery in Tallinn on August 28, ERR News reports. The exhibition brings together works created over the past year, as well as earlier urban landscapes featuring naïvist and futuristic elements.
Landscapes between memory and imagination
The exhibition invites viewers to consider landscape not only as a real place, but above all as an inner space of perception. In her works, Zukker combines realism with naïvist and surrealist elements, creating places that seem familiar even though they do not exist in reality.
Imaginary locations that simultaneously evoke a sense of recognition occupy a central place in the exhibition. According to the exhibition description, these are landscapes between memory and imagination: a viewer may see them for the first time, yet perceive them as personally close.

Santa Zukker’s work
Zukker is an art historian and artist. She noted that nature led her to painting and supports her desire to pursue it, and that in everything and everyone she sees, she perceives a horizon of knowledge.
Her work focuses on conveying memories, moods, and inner experiences. The artist has exhibited works at a number of Estonian galleries and art institutions, including Haus Gallery, Kunstiruum, Metropol Gallery, the Pärnu Museum of New Art, and Kadriorg Gallery. The “Mööda maastikke” exhibition will run at Artius Gallery until October 28.
