Greece’s entry for Eurovision 2026 has sparked lively discussion on social media following the country’s qualification for the final. Ukrainian users on Threads are flooding the platform with memes and sarcastic reactions to the performance, which quickly went viral online.
Greece is represented at Eurovision 2026 by singer Akylas with the song “Ferto” (“Let’s Go!”). The Greek performer’s performance was accompanied by various stage sets and special effects. Akylas even rode a scooter across the Eurovision stage. However, that’s not the only thing Ukrainians are making memes about.
In particular, users’ attention was drawn to Akylas’s look, the set design, and the staging of the performance itself.
