DTEK Upgraded 37 Power Facilities Ahead of Winter

In the first half of 2026, DTEK Networks renovated 37 power facilities in Kyiv, the Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions.

The company upgraded 7 transformer stations and 17 substations, and built 13 new transformer stations. The volume of reconstruction and new construction increased 1.5 times compared to the same period last year.

The company also repaired nearly 2,000 km of overhead lines and 4,600 km of underground cables, restored approximately 3,000 power facilities, and cleared 5,000 km of overhead line corridors of trees and shrubs.

DTEK stated that in 2026, it plans to invest over 6.7 billion UAH in upgrading power grids. This should increase their resilience and create an additional safety margin ahead of the heating season.

As a reminder, the state-owned PrivatBank signed a contract with Darex Trading Solutions LLC to purchase diesel generators with connections worth 349.96 million UAH.

The National Security and Defense Council has approved a resilience plan for Kyiv, and its implementation has already begun.

Kyiv residents are advised to stock up on water for three days due to the risk of new attacks.
