Russian attacks have caused new power outages in four regions of Ukraine — Ukrenergo
Due to the latest Russian strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, new emergency power outages have been reported. As of the morning of July 27, consumers in four regions remain without power, according to Ukrenergo.
“As a result of Russian shelling, there are new power outages as of this morning in the Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Emergency repair work is already underway wherever safety conditions permit,” according to a statement from NPC Ukrenergo.
It is noted that electricity consumption has decreased. Today, July 27, as of 9:30 a.m., it was 3.8% lower than at the same time on the previous business day—Friday, July 24. The reason for the changes is clear weather throughout Ukraine. This leads to high efficiency of residential solar power plants and a corresponding reduction in energy consumption from the main grid.
Yesterday, July 26, the daily peak in consumption was recorded in the evening. It was 7.3% lower than the peak recorded the previous Sunday—July 19. The reason was lower air temperatures, which did not prompt consumers to use air conditioners on a large scale.

As a reminder, in the Chernihiv region, about 7,000 people were left without power due to a Russian attack.
