Eurobank in Greece buys back over 1m shares for nearly €5m — Cyprus Mail

Eurobank S.A. bought back 1,060,775 of its own shares on Euronext Athens in Greece for a total of €4,998,843.06. The transactions were carried out from September 7 to 11, 2026, under the current share buyback program.

As Cyprus Mail reports, the average purchase price was €4.7124 per share. Data on the transactions were disclosed in announcements by Euronext Athens and the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

Buyback program

Eurobank announced the launch of the buyback program on June 10, 2026. It was preliminarily approved by the bank’s shareholders at the annual general meeting on April 28, while the board of directors adopted the decision to implement the program on April 29.

All transactions during the specified week were carried out on Euronext Athens through the designated broker participant, Eurobank Equities Single Member Investment Firm S.A.

Daily transaction volumes

The largest buyback volume was recorded on September 9: the bank acquired 279,650 shares for €1,307,999.01 at an average price of €4.6773. The highest average price during the period was €4.7773 on September 7, when Eurobank repurchased 146,358 shares for €699,190.08.

On September 8, the bank acquired 170,414 shares for €813,458.82; on September 10, 254,499 shares for €1,188,831.31; and on September 11, 209,854 shares for €989,363.84. After these transactions, Eurobank holds a total of 25,818,033 treasury shares.
