Roadshow in New York
As the exchange operator explained, the meeting was part of Korea Exchange's broader efforts to develop ties with global institutional investors and attract foreign participants to the Korean stock market. Jeong Eun-bo said the exchange would continue engaging with major global pension funds and other long-term investors, including CalPERS, to deepen their understanding of and interest in South Korea's capital markets.
On Thursday, Jeong Eun-bo is scheduled to hold a Korea Exchange global roadshow in New York for institutional investors, including asset managers and hedge funds. On the same day, he plans to sign a memorandum of understanding with the New York Stock Exchange on cooperation in market operations, including extended trading hours and a transition to a T+1 settlement cycle. If necessary, the sides also plan to establish a joint working group to support the cooperation.
