Eurobank repurchases over 1.17 million shares on Euronext Athens for €5.44 million

Eurobank S.A. repurchased 1,179,047 of its own shares with a total value of €5,440,796.06 under its share buyback programme. The transactions were carried out on Euronext Athens in Athens, Greece, from August 31 to September 4, 2026.

As Cyprus Mail reports, data on the transactions were submitted to the Cyprus and Greek stock exchanges. The bank conducted the share repurchases through the brokerage company Eurobank Equities Single Member Investment Firm S.A.

Average share price

Over five trading days, the volume-weighted average purchase price amounted to €4.6146 per share. The highest daily repurchase volume was recorded on September 2: Eurobank acquired 264,781 shares for €1,213,199.87 at an average price of €4.5819.

On August 31, the bank repurchased 226,186 shares for €1,047,657.55; on September 1, it repurchased 249,389 shares for €1,141,523.90. On September 3, 228,945 shares were acquired for €1,058,930.01, and on September 4, 209,746 shares for €979,484.73.

Programme parameters

The highest average daily price within this series of transactions was €4.6699 per share, recorded on September 4. On that day, transaction prices ranged from €4.6310 to €4.6950 per share.

The share buyback programme was announced on June 10, 2026. Shareholders authorised its implementation at the annual general meeting on April 28, and the following day the board of directors approved the parameters for implementing the programme. Following the latest transactions, Eurobank holds a total of 24,757,258 of its own shares.
