Alpha Bank repurchased 1.75 million of its own shares for €8.1 million

Alpha Bank reported the repurchase of 1,746,545 of its own shares for a total of €8,098,859.46. The transactions were carried out on Euronext Athens from August 31 to September 4, 2026, according to Cyprus Mail.

Repurchase parameters

The weighted average purchase price over the entire period was €4.6371 per share. The repurchase was carried out under a share buyback programme first announced by the bank on July 31, 2026. Formal approval for the programme was granted at the annual general meeting on June 26, 2026.

Transactions by day

On August 31, the bank acquired 339,001 shares for €1,543,810.55, at an average price of €4.5540 per share. On that day, transaction prices ranged from €4.5140 to €4.5860.

On September 1, Alpha Bank repurchased 355,127 shares for €1,605,742.24 at an average price of €4.5216. Prices that day ranged from €4.4840 to €4.5460 per share.

The largest volume of transactions occurred on September 4: the bank acquired 1,052,417 shares for €4,949,306.67. The average price of this package was €4.7028, while the intraday price range was from €4.67 to €4.7370. Following these transactions, Alpha Bank holds 3,107,488 of its own shares, representing 0.14% of the bank’s total share capital.
