At a lively Christmas party in New York hosted by crypto enthusiast Anthony Pompliano, market participants including lobbyists and investors showed little sign of panic despite the recent drop in bitcoin prices. Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brett Knoblauch described this as a "healthy pullback" and expects bitcoin’s value to rise to $1.5 million per token, which is 16 times its current price.

However, the sharp decline, which caused bitcoin to lose a quarter of its value in two months, has raised concerns across the market. Phong Lee, CEO of Strategy—a bitcoin treasury firm that has accumulated 650,000 bitcoins over five years—warned of a possible “bitcoin winter,” a prolonged market downturn similar to what followed the collapse of the FTX crypto exchange in 2022.

This situation prompts market players to monitor developments closely, as bitcoin’s future trajectory will significantly impact investment decisions and the broader crypto industry’s evolution.
