Exchange Rates on May 14: How Much Are the Dollar, Euro, and Zloty Worth?

The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against major foreign currencies as of Thursday morning, May 14, 2026.

According to the regulator’s data, the national currency has strengthened somewhat: the dollar, euro, and Polish zloty have shown a downward trend compared to the previous day’s figures.

The official exchange rate for the U.S. dollar is set at 43.96 UAH. The euro has also lost value, settling at 51.64 UAH, while the Polish zloty is currently trading at 12.15 UAH

In commercial banks, the average selling rate for the dollar ranges between 44.10 and 44.30 UAH, while the euro is offered at around 51.80–52.00 UAH.

The NBU Board made a strategic decision to keep the discount rate at 15% to maintain the stability of the financial system.

In the event of new threats to price dynamics, the regulator stated its readiness to use additional tools to curb inflationary pressure on the country’s economy.

Rapid wage growth, which exceeded forecasts, served as an additional driver of inflation.

Despite these challenges, the National Bank continues its policy of managed exchange rate flexibility, which helps avoid sharp fluctuations in foreign currency values on Ukraine’s domestic market.
