As of August 26, the National Bank lowered the official exchange rates for major currencies.
The dollar fell by 3 kopecks to 44.67 UAH, while the euro lost 7 kopecks and will now cost 51.08 UAH.
At the same time, bankers note that hryvnia deposits may remain a profitable alternative to foreign currency.
According to calculations, a 100,000 hryvnia deposit for six months at 17.5% per annum will yield approximately 6,700 hryvnia in net income after taxes.
