Beetroot as a natural brain protector: could it slow Alzheimer’s disease

Scientists highlight that beetroot, rich in nitrates, betalains, and polyphenols, can improve blood circulation and vascular function while reducing inflammation. Regular consumption of beetroot enhances blood flow to the brain, slows cognitive decline, and decreases the risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

The bioactive compounds in beetroot work synergistically to support cerebral vascular health and reduce neuroinflammation. This natural effect may be beneficial for preventing and decelerating the progression of neurodegenerative disorders.

Further research could establish beetroot’s role as a dietary intervention for maintaining brain health, opening new avenues for preventing cognitive decline in the elderly.
