Nilex Corp donates $259,000 in medical equipment to fund in Ghana — MyJoyOnline
In Ghana, Nilex Corp Company Limited donated medical equipment worth $259,000 to the Ghana Medical Trust Fund, known as Mahama Cares. The assistance was provided as part of the fund's first anniversary celebrations, MyJoyOnline reports.
List of donated equipment
The assistance package included five portable ultrasound machines, one AirRay-20 POSKOM portable X-ray machine, four oxygen concentrators with a capacity of 10 liters per minute, and another four with a capacity of 5 liters per minute. The fund also received three OXUS oxygen systems.

Support for specialized care
According to the outlet, the equipment is intended to strengthen the fund's capacity to support specialized medical care and the treatment of patients with chronic non-communicable diseases. The transfer of the equipment is expected to expand access to essential medical equipment at facilities serving patients in different parts of the country.
The Ghana Medical Trust Fund thanked Nilex Corp for its contribution. The fund described partnerships with the private sector as important for strengthening the healthcare system and expanding Ghanaian residents' access to medical services.
