GITEX AI Türkiye technology summit concludes in Turkey
The two-day GITEX AI Türkiye technology summit has concluded in Istanbul, Turkey, bringing together representatives of global technology companies, investors and startups. The event was organized by Türkiye’s Investment and Finance Office jointly with the country’s Ministry of Industry and Technology.
As Anadolu Agency reports, the forum’s program included presentations, sessions and panel discussions. Technology companies represented at the event included Google Cloud, HPE, Nvidia, Dell Technologies and Huawei. On the final day, Türkiye’s Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır delivered a keynote address.
Startups and investors
Technoparks of Turkish universities, including Yildiz Technopark of Yildiz Technical University and ARI of Istanbul Technical University, used the platform to establish connections between local startups and foreign investors. Twenty-four growth-stage startups from Türkiye’s Turcorn 100 program presented their activities aimed at entering global markets.

Participants also discussed Türkiye’s ability to attract capital for the development of technology companies. Particular attention was paid to startups’ needs for infrastructure, market access and talent retention.
Artificial intelligence and 5G networks
The discussions focused on the practical use of artificial intelligence in various sectors, including e-commerce logistics, digital fraud monitoring and automated banking services. Panels also addressed the creation of inclusive and secure approaches to AI use and the development of next-generation communications networks, including 5G.
U.S. Consul General in Istanbul Michael Lally delivered a speech on the interaction between capital and code in the global technology economy. Ekrem Arikan, a board member of the Central Securities Depository, spoke about the potential of tokenized on-chain assets as a new infrastructure layer for markets.
