Infinix unveils GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone in Nigeria
In Nigeria, Infinix unveiled the GT 50 Pro gaming smartphone with the HydroFlow liquid cooling system, mechanical triggers and the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip. Premium Times Nigeria reports.
The device is positioned as the centerpiece of the New GT Ecosystem, which includes accessories and AIoT peripherals. According to Infinix, the smartphone is equipped with GT Trigger controls that recognize light and firm presses, as well as sliding gestures. Each trigger has up to four customization points and ten sensitivity levels. The stated latency is less than 20 ms, while the buttons are rated for more than 3 million presses.
Cooling and power
Infinix says the GT 50 Pro has a micropump liquid cooling system that covers key heat sources. The system's membrane area is 6,437 mm², and the liquid circulates at a rate of 6.5 ml per minute.

The company also introduced the external GT Magcharge Cooler 2.0. According to the company, when paired with the GT 50 Pro, it supports wireless bypass charging and has a 12-watt thermoelectric cooling system. The smartphone is equipped with a battery with a capacity of up to 6,500 mAh; it is stated to support 45W wired charging, 30W wireless charging and up to 10W reverse wired charging.
Display and software features
According to the manufacturer, the smartphone runs on the 4-nanometer MediaTek Dimensity 8400 Ultimate chip, and its AnTuTu benchmark score exceeds 2.22 million points. The GT 50 Pro has a 6.78-inch display with 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and supports PWM brightness control at a frequency of 2,304 Hz.
The device runs the XOS 16 interface. The announced gaming features include Hardcore Esports Mode, AI Smart Trigger, AI Voice Prompt, AI ZoneTouch Master and voice changing with 25 timbre options. Infinix promises three years of operating system updates and five years of security updates, and also states support for a native 144 frames-per-second mode in six esports games, including Call of Duty: Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Free Fire.
