In Finland, Nordicshape owners to open new clinic after services were suspended
In Helsinki, Finland, the owners of Nordicshape cosmetic clinics, whose provision of medical services was previously suspended due to serious risks to patient safety, plan to open a new clinic, Avenel. The facility in the Töölö district says it intends to begin operating in October and offer botulinum toxin injections and plastic surgery, YLE News reports.
The new company and its owners
According to the trade register, Samuel Rossi and Taina Heikkinen are listed as the beneficial owners of Deconstruct Finland Oy, the company behind Avenel. Rossi is a member of the company's board of directors, while Heikkinen is presented on Avenel's website as the clinic's founder and head nurse.
According to the trade register, Rossi and Heikkinen were the main owners of Nordicshape and Nordicshape Helsinki. These companies operated clinics in Leppävaara in Espoo and on Erottaja in Helsinki, whose provision of medical services was suspended by Finland's licensing and supervisory authority, LVV.
The entrepreneurs told YLE that Avenel is an entirely new clinic concept and that its operating model has been created from scratch. According to them, the purpose of the new facility is not to circumvent previous decisions by supervisory authorities, and the experience gained was taken into account when shaping the new operating model.

Deconstruct Finland Oy was registered in February 2025 as a wholesale construction materials business. On July 30, 2026, the company's field of activity was changed to medical, cosmetic and aesthetic services. Rossi and Heikkinen stated that Nordicshape's operations would not be transferred to the new company unchanged.
Reasons for the suspension of Nordicshape services
In spring and summer, LVV carried out unannounced inspections at two Nordicshape clinics and immediately suspended their provision of medical services. During an inspection of the clinic in Espoo on April 8, inspectors found, according to LVV, products without marketing authorization, as well as products containing medicinal substances that were labelled as cosmetics. Medicines were stored in unlocked premises.
LVV also reported that botulinum toxin injections were administered at the clinic without a doctor's direction and supervision. During an inspection of Nordicshape Helsinki on June 29, according to the regulator, no individual prescriptions were issued for procedures performed by a nurse, and a doctor did not assess patients' suitability for treatment. The regulator also found that the company provided medical services without the required registration.
Avenel's owners stated that they would not begin providing medical services until registrations are properly completed, responsible persons are designated and other requirements are met.
