Where in Ukraine is fuel cheapest: prices by region
As of March 23, 2026, there is a significant variation in fuel prices across different regions of Ukraine.
According to monitoring data from the A-95 Consulting Group, the lowest prices for A-95 gasoline were recorded in Sumy Oblast, where a liter costs an average of 70.48 UAH. In contrast, this fuel is most expensive for drivers in Donetsk Oblast—73.98 UAH per liter. In the diesel fuel segment, Kharkiv Oblast leads in affordability with a price of 82.98 UAH, while Donetsk Oblast recorded the highest price—85.99 UAH per liter.

The average cost of automotive gas in most regions remains within the range of 45.06–45.75 UAH. The most affordable price for gas is in Zaporizhzhia Oblast (45.06 UAH), while the highest is again in Donetsk Oblast, where the price reaches 49.49 UAH. In the capital region, prices remain higher than the average: in Kyiv Oblast, a liter of A-95 costs 72.24 UAH, and diesel fuel—84.35 UAH.
As of March 23, 2026, Ukraine has seen another update in fuel prices at the largest gas station chains.
