LS Group chairman calls for faster AI adoption — Korea Herald
LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-eun called on employees at the LS Future Day event in Anyang, South Korea, to more actively adopt artificial intelligence in business processes to improve production efficiency and enhance products and services, Korea Herald reports.
Koo said the group must adopt AI technologies faster than its competitors and turn experimental developments into practical commercial solutions. The fifth annual event was held at LS Tower with around 500 executives and employees from the holding company and its affiliates.
Projects for manufacturing and data centers
This year's LS Future Day theme focused on moving from studying AI to achieving business results. Participants presented 19 projects, including a solution for cable manufacturing using artificial intelligence and a power supply protection platform designed to improve the reliability of AI data centers.

Some teams used AI tools to write code in order to create early working versions of their products. Others presented AI-generated videos that simulated customer feedback scenarios.
Ideas for commercialization
A separate LS Future Forum focused on physical AI and its applications in manufacturing. Speakers included Yoon Son-yi, founder and managing partner of Principal Venture Partners; Yoon Sung-ro, a professor of electrical and computer engineering at Seoul National University; Kim Chan-hyun, a partner at Boston Consulting Group; and Kwon Seok-jun, a professor of chemical engineering at Sungkyunkwan University.
LS said Future Day helped the group develop more than 500 business ideas in batteries, next-generation energy solutions and AI, with some moving into commercialization. LS Electric recently launched a solar energy manufacturing services platform that was last year's top business idea at the event. LS Mtron plans to commercialize seven projects, including compact tractors for the North American market.
