The Cabinet of Ministers reapproved and submitted a draft of the new Labor Code to the Verkhovna Rada
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has once again approved and submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft of the new Labor Code, which is intended to replace the current Labor Code that has been in effect since 1971.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Environment, the document is intended to modernize the Ukrainian labor market in line with current economic realities and to implement more than 30 European Union directives in the field of labor and social policy.
The draft code provides for the full digitization of HR document management, the introduction of flexible forms of employment, new approaches to calculating the minimum wage, and an increase in the duration of annual leave. The document also sets out clear rules for preventing discrimination, mobbing, and harassment, modernizing the labor inspection system, and improving mechanisms for resolving labor disputes.

It was previously reported that the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft of the updated Labor Code, which enshrines the right to flexible forms of work and is intended to mark the start of labor market reform.
Work is ongoing in Ukraine on the updated Labor Code, which is intended to be a key step in harmonizing domestic legislation with European Union standards.
