"Kernel" imported fuel by sea on its own for the first time

The Kernel agricultural holding has successfully completed its first direct maritime import of petroleum products for its own use.

This was reported by Latifundist.com.

The company independently purchased a shipment of diesel fuel in Greece and arranged for its delivery to Ukraine to support spring fieldwork.

As part of this project, the agricultural holding took full responsibility for organizing the process on a turnkey basis.

The company’s specialists oversaw the transaction at every stage—from the direct purchase of the fuel from the Greek supplier to sea freight and subsequent ground logistics to the production facilities.

“Our first independent marine fuel import—done. We purchased Greek diesel, shipped it by sea, and are using it in the fields,” Kernel’s press service reported.

The shift to independent imports was a response to the growing turbulence in the global energy market.

Among the key destabilizing factors, the company cites the latest escalation of conflicts in the Middle East and threats to shipping in strategic regions.

In particular, there are real risks of the Strait of Hormuz being blocked, which could lead to a sharp shortage and an unpredictable spike in oil prices.

The timely purchase of Greek diesel allowed Kernel to safeguard its planting campaign against potential supply disruptions.

As a reminder, as of March 30, 2026, the largest gas station chains in Ukraine updated their fuel prices.

Fuel prices have also stabilized at gas stations.
