In the US, the Wong brothers work at Disney after careers in aerospace
In the United States, brothers Jerry and Peter Wong took part-time jobs at Disney theme parks in Anaheim, California, after decades of work in the aerospace industry. Jerry works as a photographer at Disneyland Resort, while Peter is an attractions employee at Disney California Adventure, Fortune reports.
From engineering to park photography
Jerry Wong, 66, ended his engineering career at Northrop Grumman in 2022. He began working for the company as a summer intern in 1979 and later handled ground communications under government contracts. After four months of retirement, he began looking for a new job.
Jerry chose photography, a passion he inherited from his father while studying at the University of California, Los Angeles. At Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, he photographs visitors. During the low season, Jerry works about 14 hours over two or three days a week, while during the holiday period he works up to 32 hours over five days.

Working on attractions
Peter Wong, 63, ended his career in the financial sector of the aerospace industry in 2017. He began working at Hughes Electronics in 1987. After Raytheon acquired the company, Peter was responsible for financial planning and budgets for seven sites in the United States. An offer of a compensation package for former Hughes employees gave him a reason to gradually retire.
A year later, Peter began working at Disney California Adventure. He welcomes guests, monitors ride safety and works, among other places, at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail and Soarin’ Across America. His schedule is usually about 14 hours over two to three days each week, and up to 28 hours during busy seasons.
The brothers have visited Disney parks since 1967 and now also hold annual passes. Because of their different work schedules, they rarely cross paths during shifts, though they occasionally run into each other in the park.
