Ukrgasbank will change the fees for purchasing military bonds on the "Diia" platform

Starting April 15, Ukrgasbank is introducing new fees for payments made through the "Dii" app, including a commission for the purchase of military bonds.

This is stated in a press release from Ukrgasbank and a post on the "Diya" app.

Commission on military bonds

  • Amount: 0.2% of the transaction amount.
  • Reason: This is not profit for the bank, but rather covers the transaction cost and supports the technical infrastructure.
  • Display: The commission will appear as a separate line item during payment.

“The 0.2% commission is not the bank’s profit, but the transaction cost. Previously, we covered it at our own expense, but as a state-owned bank, we believe these funds should benefit the state,” the bank explains.

Additionally, starting April 15, fees for paying taxes, fines, court fees, and administrative services on “Dii” will be reduced to 1.3% (minimum 1 hryvnia).

You can purchase bonds in “Dii.” To do so, you need to:

  1. Open the “Dii” app.
  2. Select the Military Bonds section.
  3. Select a bond, partner, and quantity.
  4. Sign and pay.
  5. The bond will appear in the app within three business days.

Government securities can also be purchased through mobile apps of other banks or specialized brokerage platforms.

As a reminder, investors have responded positively to the United States’ new peace plan aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. According to the latest data, Ukrainian securities, including stocks, Eurobonds, and GDP warrants, have shown growth on leading European exchanges. The most significant changes were observed in the WIG-Ukraine index, which recorded a 2.43% increase following the initial rumors about the plan and an additional 3.86% after its publication.
