PlayCity revoked Favbet's license to operate slot machine parlors
The PlayCity State Agency has taken a drastic measure against one of the major players in the gambling market by revoking the license of Favbet Game Slots LLC.
The agency’s press service announced this on Telegram.
The operator of gaming halls not only lost the right to operate in Ukraine but also received a record-breaking financial penalty for gross violations of relevant legislation.
The basis for this harsh measure was the results of a routine inspection of the company’s operations.
During the inspection, law enforcement officers and agency representatives uncovered widespread violations of technical regulations, casting doubt on the transparency of the gaming equipment’s operation.
In particular, the regulatory authority documented the operation of 108 slot machines that had not passed mandatory inspection.
The lack of proper confirmation of technical compliance means that these machines were operating outside the legal framework and without state oversight of the fairness of the games.
As a result of the violations identified, an unprecedented fine was imposed on Favbet Game Slots LLC.
“A fine of over 933 million UAH was imposed on the operator,” the PlayCity agency’s press service reported. This amount is one of the largest in the industry in recent times.
The agency’s official position is unwavering: “Consequently, the company loses the right to operate in Ukraine.”
The decision to revoke the license to organize and conduct gambling in slot machine halls has already taken effect and been published in the relevant registries.
