Ukraine is preparing to implement automatic restrictions on gambling for military personnel

PlayCity has announced a tender for the development of a system that will automatically verify and restrict military personnel’s access to gambling.

The system will exchange data via “Trembita” and verify information in the relevant government registries. Gambling operators will only see the result of the verification—whether or not a restriction is in place.

Once development is complete, PlayCity and the Ministry of Defense will conduct testing. The system is scheduled to go live after the completion of configuration and verification, which are expected to last until December 24, 2026.

The state agency “PlayCity” has decided to revoke the licenses of two gambling operators following an audit that revealed their ties to an aggressor country. As a result, the Favbet Casino/Favbet Poker and Billionaire brands are effectively disappearing from the Ukrainian market.

The Gambling and Lottery Regulation Commission conducted an unscheduled inspection of the online casino SlotCity. Based on the results, the company “All City Games,” which operates under the SlotCity brand, was fined 4.323 million hryvnias.
