KLM adds 164 destinations to winter schedule, Larnaca to retain Amsterdam link — Cyprus Mail
KLM will operate flights to 164 destinations in 64 countries during the winter season, while Larnaca in Cyprus will retain connectivity to the carrier’s network via Amsterdam. The winter programme will run from 25 October to 27 March and will include 93 European and 71 intercontinental destinations, Cyprus Mail reports.
The daily seasonal KLM KL462 flight between Larnaca and Amsterdam is scheduled through 24 October, on the eve of the winter timetable’s launch. At the same time, the airline’s booking system offers travel from Larnaca to Amsterdam in December and connections to other international flights in the KLM network.
Transavia, part of the Air France-KLM group, is also involved in the winter service. On certain flights between Larnaca and Amsterdam, it operates services sold under KLM codes, and some flights are expected to continue in winter. Published KLM fares for December round trips from Larnaca to Amsterdam were about €151–164, depending on seat availability.
Larnaca as a technical stop
After the resumption of the Amsterdam–Tel Aviv connection on 25 August, KLM also uses Larnaca for a technical stop. Crews stay there overnight as part of flight operations arrangements related to conditions in the Middle East.

Routes and Airbus A350
Minneapolis will return to KLM’s winter network for the first time since 2023. San Diego will be served throughout the winter season for the first time. Flight frequencies will be increased on certain long-haul routes: to Panama City, up to ten per week during peak periods, and to São Paulo, up to nine.
In Europe, KLM will add one weekly flight each to Rovaniemi and Kittilä, and one daily flight each to Florence and Basel. The carrier is also working to restore services to Kigali and Entebbe, which were suspended after several countries introduced travel and entry restrictions due to an Ebola outbreak in Central Africa. The route is expected to operate four times a week.
During the winter season, KLM is due to receive its first Airbus A350 at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Toronto is expected to become the aircraft’s first commercial destination, with 12 flights per week planned, five of them operated by the A350. The aircraft are later planned to be deployed on flights to Montreal, Kilimanjaro, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar and Nairobi.
