The festival in Santa Rosa de Quives, Peru, will take place on Sunday, August 30
The festival at the Peruvian shrine of Santa Rosa de Quives in 2026 will be celebrated on Sunday, August 30. The sanctuary is located in the Chillón Valley near Lima and is associated with Saint Rose of Lima—the patron saint of Lima and Peru—who, according to The Rio Times, spent part of her life there.
Santa Rosa de Quives is located in the district of the same name in the province of Canta, in the department of Lima, along the Lima–Canta route. The distance from Peru’s capital by road is approximately 63–64 kilometers. The trip by car or “combi”—a shared minibus—can take between one and two and a half hours, depending on the mode of transportation and traffic conditions.

The route to the sanctuary runs along the Panamericana Norte and the Túpac Amaru Corridor. The publication notes that a 64-kilometer drive can take about an hour, while a ride on a combi takes about an hour and a half.
According to The Rio Times, citing a tourism source, admission to the sanctuary is free, and visiting hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the day of the festival, residents of Lima and pilgrims flock to Santa Rosa de Quives, so traffic along the route may be heavier than usual.
