Moldova Stays on EU Path Despite Moscow’s Pressure

The election campaign was marked by Russian disinformation, cyberattacks on electoral systems, and attempts to discredit the results. The pro-Russian bloc claimed fraud, declaring about 26 parliamentary mandates invalid.
At the same time, the vote revealed the sharp divide between pro-European and pro-Russian citizens. Moldova’s diaspora strongly supported the EU course, while pro-Russian groups inside the country denounced alleged manipulation. President Maia Sandu emphasized: “The European path is our way forward.”
