The Bucharest Nine summit is set to begin in Romania: Zelenskyy is expected to attend
The summit of the "Bucharest Nine"—a group comprising NATO's eastern flank member states—is kicking off in the Romanian capital.
This was reported by Digi24.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who had previously received an invitation to the summit, are expected to attend the meeting.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki was the first to arrive in Bucharest, where he was received by Romanian President Nicușor Dan. The leaders of Poland and Romania will co-chair the summit.
A working dinner is also planned with Rutte, Dan, and Nawrocki in attendance, and the leaders of the Nordic countries will meet separately.
The “Bucharest Nine” was established in 2015 as a security cooperation framework for countries on NATO’s eastern flank.
After the end of the so-called ceasefire, Russia launched over 200 drones at Ukraine.
Zelenskyyconfirmed a three-day ceasefire.
