Bookmakers have assessed Kostyuk's chances in the Roland Garros semifinals against Russia's Andreeva

On Thursday, June 4, 2026, Ukraine’s top-ranked player Marta Kostyuk (WTA No. 15) will play a historic match in the semifinals of the French Open (Roland Garros). Her opponent will be Mira Andreeva (WTA No. 8) from the aggressor country.

Ahead of the match, leading analysts and bookmakers have released their odds, naming the Ukrainian tennis player as the favorite.

According to bookmakers’ predictions, Marta Kostyuk has a better chance of reaching the Grand Slam final. Analysts are offering odds of 1.74 on a Ukrainian victory. At the same time, the Russian’s victory is considered less likely—with odds of 2.05. These figures are partly confirmed by the history of the players’ head-to-head matches on the court: 23-year-old Kostyuk and 19-year-old Andreeva have faced each other twice before, and in both matches, the Ukrainian athlete emerged victorious.

This semifinal has already become a landmark event for Ukrainian sports, as Kostyuk, who knocked her compatriot Elina Svitolina out of the tournament in the quarterfinals, is the first Ukrainian woman in history to reach the Roland Garros semifinals in women’s singles. In the entire history of Ukrainian tennis, only Andriy Medvedev among men managed to reach this stage on the clay courts of Paris in singles in 1993 and 1999.
