Former Dynamo forward makes a surprise return to the UPL
Former Dynamo Kyiv forward Nazarii Rusyn has officially returned to the Ukrainian Premier League. The 26-year-old forward’s new club is Lviv’s “Karpaty,” with whom he signed a three-year contract with an option to extend for one additional season.
Rusyn joined the Lviv club on a free transfer after terminating his contract with England’s Sunderland. While playing for the English team, the Ukrainian appeared in 32 matches, scoring two goals and recording one assist. He also played on loan for Croatia’s “Hajduk” and Poland’s “Arka.”
Rusyn is a product of the FC Lviv youth system and began his professional career at Dynamo. He later played for Zorya and Dnipro-1.
