Dynamo's former coach will lead a Russian team in a propaganda match

Former head coach of Kyiv’s “Dynamo,” Valery Gazzaev, will lead one of the teams in an exhibition match in Moscow. The match will take place on September 26 in the capital of the aggressor country and will serve as the farewell game for former soccer player Wagner Love; Gazzaev will coach the “CSKA Legends” team.

Russia uses such events to create the illusion that its soccer is not internationally isolated, even though its national teams and clubs have been excluded from FIFA and UEFA tournaments due to the war against Ukraine.

It should be noted that during the so-called elections in Russia, Gazzaev served as a representative of Vladimir Putin. He led Kyiv’s “Dynamo” from May 2009 to October 2010 and won the Ukrainian Super Cup with the team.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has confirmed that a case has been opened against the former head coach of the “Dynamo” soccer club. The case involves possible extortion. According to media reports, the individual in question may be Oleksandr Shovkovskyi.

As a reminder, former Dynamo Kyiv head coach Oleksandr Shovkovskyi defended the team’s goalkeeper, Vyacheslav Surkis, following a disappointing match against Bukovyna.
