Ghana Football Association asks CAF for 500 tickets in Bouaké — MyJoyOnline

The Ghana Football Association has appealed to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to intervene and help obtain additional tickets for around 500 Ghanaian supporters who have arrived in Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire. They plan to attend the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match between Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana, scheduled to take place on Thursday at the Stade de la Paix.

Match tickets sold out

According to MyJoyOnline, Ghanaian supporters were unable to get tickets for the match after the Ivorian Football Federation announced that they had sold out completely. The supporters travelled from Ghana to support the Black Stars national team.

Appeal to CAF

The Ghana Football Association received officially allocated tickets during the pre-match coordination meeting on Wednesday. However, this quota is insufficient for the number of Ghanaian supporters currently in Bouaké.

In a letter to CAF, the association requested an additional block of around 500 tickets. It also informed the match commissioner about the situation, who, according to the association, assured them of assistance. The match will be the first Group C game in qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
