58-year-old Milchev won a silver medal at the European Trap Shooting Championships

58-year-old Ukrainian shooter Mykola Milchev won the silver medal at the European Clay Target Shooting Championships in Athens. He took second place in the skeet final.

In the qualifying round, Milchev hit 122 out of 125 targets. After a shoot-off, the Ukrainian advanced to the final eight, finishing in seventh place.

 In the final, Milchev gradually climbed the standings and reached the gold series. His opponent was Eetu Kallioinen of Finland. After the series ended in a tie, the athletes went into a shoot-off, which Kallioinen won.

This is Milchev’s third medal at the European Championships. He won silver in 1999 and took bronze at last year’s continental championships.
