Portugal’s national team defeated Norway 2:1 at home in a fourth-round Nations League group-stage match. The Portuguese secured their fourth consecutive victory in the current campaign and remained group leaders with a perfect record, Interia Sport reports.
Quick response to Ajer’s goal
The Norwegians opened the scoring in the 36th minute. Kristoffer Ajer struck a volley from outside the penalty area. However, the visitors held their lead for less than two minutes: João Cancelo equalized with a shot in the 38th minute.
The hosts had more possession — 58% to 42% — and took significantly more shots: 20 to eight. The Portuguese recorded seven shots on target, while the Norwegians had three.

Ramos’s decisive goal and sending-off
Gonçalo Ramos scored the winning goal in the 79th minute. He found the net from close range after an attack involving Vitinha and João Félix.
Norway forward Erling Haaland left the pitch in the 67th minute after signaling an injury. Portugal finished the match with 10 men because of Francisco Conceição’s red card.
It was the first home game for Jorge Jesus’s team after Cristiano Ronaldo left the national team camp. A week earlier, the Portuguese also beat Norway 2:1 in Oslo.
