Formula 2 will hold races in Miami and Montreal instead of races in the Middle East

The 2026 Formula 2 racing calendar has been revised: races in Miami and Montreal have been added to replace the canceled events in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. The decision was made because it was impossible to hold races at the original venues due to the war in the Middle East.

This was reported on the series’ official website.

According to the updated schedule, the race in Miami will take place on May 1–3, and the Canadian round is scheduled for May 29–31. Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali emphasized that despite the cancellation of races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, the inclusion of new cities will help maintain the momentum of the championship. In total, 13 races are scheduled for the 2026 season, including Barcelona, Austria, Great Britain, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Madrid, Azerbaijan, Qatar, and Abu Dhabi.

It was previously reported that seven-time Formula 1 champion Michael Schumacher is no longer bedridden and can move around in a wheelchair with the help of medical staff. After suffering a severe head injury in 2013, the German driver remained virtually immobile for many years.
