Driver Joey Logano won the NASCAR night race at Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, United States. The Team Penske driver finished 1.248 seconds ahead of Kyle Larson to claim his third victory of the 2026 season and the 40th of his career, TimesLIVE reports.
Decisive restart
Logano, who drives the No. 22 Ford, took the lead with seven laps remaining after a restart. He passed 23-year-olds Carson Hocevar and Ty Gibbs. Logano led 93 of the 500 laps and moved up to third place in the Cup Series standings after the victory. He is 16 points behind championship leader Larson, while Denny Hamlin trails Larson by one point.
Rain before the race led to the cancellation of both practice and qualifying. Larson started from pole position and led until an early caution period imposed by NASCAR. In the first stage, Logano did not make a pit stop for 125 laps, took the lead and won the stage, earning 10 bonus points.

Altercation on pit lane
With 43 laps remaining, Hocevar spun Ryan Blaney, who had led the most laps up to that point — 202. After the incident, Blaney grabbed his rival on pit lane, and a brief altercation occurred between the drivers. Hocevar said he did not intentionally try to cause a crash: according to him, he had an opportunity to overtake, after which Blaney moved to the left and spun.
Hocevar finished third, Christopher Bell took fourth place, and Gibbs was fifth. Blaney, despite dominating for much of the race, finished 33rd. There were 10 caution periods in the race, with the most incidents occurring in the final 59 laps.
