Guardiola announced his intention to take a break from coaching
Former Manchester City manager Josep Guardiola plans to take a break from football for a while to rest and relax after a long period of work. The Spanish coach suggested that his career break will be a long one due to the high demands and constant stress over the past 17–18 years, although those close to him doubt his ability to stay out of work for long and predict his return in just three months.
This was reported by the football club’s press service.
The renowned coach made the unexpected decision to leave the team a year before the expiration of his current contract. In total, Guardiola spent 10 seasons at the helm of the “Citizens,” during which the English club managed to win 20 prestigious trophies. Among the coach’s key achievements at Etihad are six English Premier League titles, as well as victory in the 2022/23 Champions League.
