Spain’s national team defeated the Czech Republic 3-1 in Oviedo in a Nations League Division A match. The hosts scored twice before halftime, but after the Czechs scored in the second half, Spain’s lead became minimal. Mikel Merino set the final score late in the match.
As Interia Sport reports, Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the sixth minute. He received a pass from Dani Olmo, beat the defenders and struck into the top corner. In the 35th minute, Rodri took advantage of confusion in the penalty area and scored from close range.
The Czech Republic reduced the deficit
After the break, the Spaniards initially controlled the game, but in the 69th minute the Czech Republic reduced the deficit. Adam Hložek passed to the left to Jiří Sláma, who scored with a first-time shot — 1-2.
