Cypriot driver Tziortzis keeps NASCAR Euro Series title hopes alive — Cyprus Mail
Cypriot racing driver Vladimiros Tziortzis finished third in the first OPEN class race at the 2026 NASCAR Euro Series semi-finals, held at the Vallelunga circuit in Rome, Italy. The result kept him among the contenders for the OPEN category title, Cyprus Mail reports.
Results in Italy
For Tziortzis, this is his second podium finish of the season. In May, he also finished third at the Paul Ricard circuit in France. In the second OPEN class race in Italy, the Cypriot driver finished fifth.
In the V8GP class, Tziortzis completed the two races in 10th and 12th positions. Following the semi-finals, he ranks ninth among 34 drivers in this category.

Positions ahead of the final
At the semi-final stage, points were awarded at double value; the same principle will apply in the final. In the overall OPEN standings, Tziortzis is fifth among 30 participants and trails third place by 11 points.
The driver described the racing weekend as difficult but said that the team coped with the challenges and remains in contention in both classes. In V8GP, he considers a top-three finish achievable. The 2026 season final will take place on October 17–18 at the Zolder circuit in Belgium.
