Leeds beat Nottingham Forest for the second time in four days in the League Cup
According to Channel NewsAsia, Leeds United defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 away in the second round of the English League Cup to advance to the third round. The match took place on August 25 at the City Ground in Nottingham.
It was Leeds’ second victory over Forest in four days. The teams played in the Premier League on Saturday, and Leeds also won away, 1-0.
Goals by James and Justin
In the cup match, Dan James opened the scoring in the 50th minute, striking with his right foot into the top-left corner. In the 75th minute, following a scramble near the hosts’ goal, the ball ended up in the net. The goal was initially recorded as an own goal by Nottingham Forest defender Neco Williams, but it was later credited to James Justin.
