A well-known rugby referee committed suicide in Russia
Russian rugby referee Alexei Bryzgalin died by suicide. His body was found in his home, the door of which was locked. Bryzgalin was considered one of Russia’s best rugby referees. Law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances of his death.
“Preliminary reports indicate that Bryzgalin took his own life,” said a source speaking to the propagandists.
Earlier, the press service of the Russian Rugby Federation reported the death of the 47-year-old sports referee. His body was found at home; the door was locked.
Bryzgalin had been a referee since 2006. From 2007 to 2019, he was among the top four rugby referees in Russia and officiated at international matches.
In 2021, he was named Russia’s best referee.
