The National Council revoked the license of the sports channel XSport
The National Council on Television and Radio Broadcasting revoked the license of the XSport channel (Totveld LLC) and canceled the registration of XSport and XSport+.
The regulator adopted the decision at a meeting on March 26, according to "Detector Media."
Oleg Chernysh, deputy chairman of the National Council, stated that the license and registrations were revoked at the company’s request. The channels’ partners received letters from the owners stating that broadcasting would cease on April 1 due to the unfavorable economic situation in the country.
XSport began broadcasting in 2012 on the MX-3 multiplex operated by Zeonbud and aired hockey, basketball, boxing, soccer, and other sports. XSport+ launched in 2021. Both channels are owned by businessman and former MP Boris Kolesnikov.
Earlier, the Ukrainian National Lottery (UNL) became the first operator to officially receive a license to issue and conduct lotteries in Ukraine.
