Seven Ukrainian tennis players will compete in the main draw at Roland Garros
The organizers of the French Open have released the official lists of players who have qualified for the main draw of the prestigious tournament.
This year, Ukraine’s contingent on the courts of Paris will be exceptionally strong—seven top female tennis players have made the cut.
Among the participants who will begin their quest for the trophy directly in the main draw are the leaders of Ukrainian tennis. In particular, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, and Dayana Yastremska will showcase their skills on clay courts.
In addition to these established stars, Yulia Starodubtseva, Oleksandra Oliinikova, and Daria Snigur have also made the main draw for the season’s second Grand Slam.
Such a large number of Ukrainian representatives attests to the high level of the national tennis academy and the athletes’ consistent performance in the world rankings.
This year’s Roland Garros tournament is scheduled for May 24 through June 7, 2026.
Tennis fans are anticipating a fierce battle, as the French courts are traditionally considered among the most challenging due to the specific nature of the surface.
Before the main matches begin, the qualifying round matches will take place as usual.
