Ukrainian Lev Krutogolov tops the FIA World Karting Rankings
Ukrainian kart racer Lev Krutogolov has climbed to first place in the FIA International Karting Ranking (IKR).
The Ukrainian secured the top spot in the rankings following a successful performance in the first round of the prestigious Champions of the Future championship, where he finished third.
Prior to this, Krutogolov, who is the son of renowned Ukrainian actor Yegor Krutogolov, held third place in the rankings. He had previously won the WSK Super Master Series, becoming the first Ukrainian to win this tournament.
Thanks to his consistent results, the athlete rose to first place among more than 600 professional drivers in 12 categories.
The FIA ranking is based on several criteria, including competitiveness, number of starts, technical skill, and finishing results.
Earlier, the Ukrainian women’s national tennis team entered the top three of the Billie Jean King Cup team rankings for the first time in its history.
The Ukrainian women’s tennis team defeated the Polish women’s tennis team in a qualifying match for the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup. The match ended in favor of the Ukrainian tennis players.
