South Korea routs Jordan to reach Asian Games semifinals
South Korea's men's basketball team defeated Jordan 114-80 in the Asian Games quarterfinals in Nagoya, Japan, advancing to the tournament's semifinals. The team is two wins away from its first Asian Games gold medal in 12 years, Korea Herald reports.
Lee Hyun-jun scores 28 points
Forward Lee Hyun-jun scored 28 points, making 10 of 15 field-goal attempts in less than 21 minutes on the court. He made six three-pointers from 10 attempts and also collected nine rebounds — the most among South Korean players.
The quarterfinal game took place at Aichi International Arena in Nagoya, central Japan.

Opponent to be determined in Iran-Bahrain match
For the team coached by Nikolajs Mazurs, this was its fourth consecutive victory in Nagoya. In the previous stage, the South Korean basketball players defeated the national teams of Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Japan.
In the semifinal scheduled for Friday, South Korea will play the winner of the match between Iran and Bahrain. The South Korean team last won gold in the Asian Games men's basketball tournament in 2014 in Incheon. In 2018, the team won bronze, while in 2023 it was eliminated at the quarterfinal stage.
