A player on the Ukrainian national team has returned to training after a long break
Arseniy Batagov, a candidate for Ukraine’s national team, has resumed training with the Turkish club Trabzonspor. The defender has not yet played a single minute this season.
The center back was featured in a photo report from the “Black Sea Storms” training session. Batagov has not taken the field since early March. He suffered a knee injury and missed the final stretch of last season, preseason training, and the start of the new season.
Most likely, Batagov will return to action after the international break. In the Turkish league, Trabzonspor will face Samsunspor on October 10. On October 15, the Ukrainian’s team will take on Finland’s KuPS in the Conference League group stage.
Last season, Batagov played in 30 matches across all competitions. He recorded one goal and three assists. The defender’s contract with the “Black Sea Storms” runs through the summer of 2028, with an option for the club to extend it.
This was reported with reference to the club’s official website.
