Richarlison and Tottenham dispute contract
In Ghana, MyJoyOnline, citing the BBC, reported a dispute between Tottenham and Brazilian forward Richarlison over the nine months remaining on his contract. According to sources, the footballer is considering his future career options and wants to be released from the remaining obligations under the agreement.
Negotiations over the agreement
Representatives of the club and the player are holding talks in an attempt to find a solution. The situation has reportedly escalated in recent days. Richarlison is seeking an agreement that would allow him to leave the club for free, but Tottenham does not consider such an option realistic.
The club also has an option to extend the striker's contract by 12 months, until the end of next season. Tottenham does not want to discuss a settlement with Richarlison regarding the remaining term of the current agreement.

Failed move to Everton
Richarlison was not included in Tottenham's squad for Premier League matches after his move to Everton failed to materialize on the final day of the transfer window. The London club could have received £35 million for the footballer, but the player did not agree personal terms with Everton.
Brazilian club Vasco da Gama also wants to sign Richarlison. According to sources, the forward is interested in returning to his homeland. Tottenham bought him from Everton for £60 million in 2022 and signed him to a five-year contract.
